How Can We Help?

Frequently Asked Questions

How deep should posts be installed?

Your fence posts should be installed no less than 4′ deep. The deeper we can get the posts in the ground, the less likely you are to experience post movement.

How tall can my fence be?

The City of Winnipeg fence by-laws state that a fence can be a maximum height of 6’6″ for rear and side yards. A front yard fence can be a maximum of 4′ tall.

What do you use to set the posts?

Due to our climate, we set all our posts in 3/4 down limestone.

How long will it take to finish?

Our crews can typically build 100 ft of fence in 1 day.

How long does this process take?

From first contact, we maintain a 2-3 week lead time for new builds, but require Manitoba Hydro to mark their utilities prior to drilling. Everton Projects will make the necessary arrangements.

Do I need to contact Manitoba Hydro?

Many fence repairs can be completed without contacting Manitoba Hydro. However, any post work will require line locates. Everton Projects will make the necessary arrangements.

Can we reuse the old boards?

This is entirely dependent upon the age of the fence and the fasteners used during the original installation.  Any obvious signs of rotting will likely result in the replacement of boards.
